Covid - Coronavirus - Swim Lessons

As an essential service, Alli Jo’s Swim School will continue to offer swim lessons during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our coronavirus policies are detailed below:

1. Students and only one parent can attend classes. To keep with CDC number guidelines, we can't allow siblings at our headquarters. Infants that are worn by parents in an Ergo or other carriers/strollers are permitted with permission.

2. Parents must wear masks and keep 6 feet of distance from other parents during lessons. The swim instructor will also wear a mask. Children will not be asked to wear masks in the water.  All evidence points to chlorine killing the coronavirus. From the CDC: "There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfection with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should inactivate the virus in the water.”

3. We ask that you and your children use the restroom just before leaving your home to come to swim lessons (we want to minimize bathroom usage when possible).

4. Please put a thermometer in your car on the first day of lessons and keep it in your swim bag. To save time, we will take all children’s temperatures at the same time before getting in the water each day.  Any temperature over 100 degrees or any child with a cough will be asked to postpone their lessons.
